Instant Access to CANopen for your
Embedded or Industrial Devices
CANopenIA is a concept developed by ESAcademy that helps to minimize the
development time required to get new and existing control, sensor or actuator
devices connected to a CANopen network. Depending on the application requirements, the
concept provides a variety of solutions based on both hardware or software.
A CANopenIA solution can operate in one of two modes:
- Stand-Alone Operation
Directly implements a complete CANopen Device Profile, no additional
controller required
- Co-Processor Operation
Implements the CANopen Device Profile for a specific application and provides
a host controller with access to all variables communicated via the network
CANopenIA solutions are available in three varieties:
- Plug-In Modules
CANopenIA solutions implemented on embedded microcontroller modules
- Chips
CANopenIA solutions implemented on single chips
- Binaries
CANopenIA solutions delivered as hex file for selected microcontrollers
